Exhibition "The Singing of Wool Threads"

Gabriela Moga Lazar: tapestries 2006-2009

  The Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia and  Moldavia\'s History Museum - the Union Museum within "Moldova” National Museum Complex of Iasi announce the opening of the exhibition ”The Singing of Wool Threads” on Wednesday, 9 September 2009,  5.00 pm.

The exhibition shall be opened until 27 September at the Union Museum and includes tapestries created by  Gabriela Moga Lazar, as well as traditional carpets and towels and women\'s blouses in the collection of the Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia.

Mastering a special language, the tapestries by Gabriela Moga Lazar, show aspiration to clarity, equilibrium of the composition, measure and rhythm reeditating with artistry the  vocation of the faded colors of our ancient folk art.

The exhibition shall be presented by prof. Gheorghe Macarie, PhD.
