The Night of the Museums 2008 at "Moldova" National Museum Complex
On the night of 17 to 18 May 2008, "Moldova" National Museum Complex in Iasi participates in the international event initiated by the Ministry of Culture in France, and invites the public to visit free of charge between 19.00 and 24.00 hours its museums in the city of Iasi, as well as those thrhoughout the county of Iasi:
- "Poni-Cernatescu” Memorial Museum, 7B, M. Kogalniceanu Street, Iasi:
19.00 Theatre: Agnes of God, by John Pielmeier, interpreted by students in the Theatre Department within "George Enescu” Fine Art University in Iasi, coordinated by junior assistant Iuliana Cretu, stage direction: Irina Popescu Boieru
20.15 Night of May - concert of classic music sustained by pupils and professors of the "Octav Bancilă” National Fine Art in Iasi, quartet Sonora, quintet Adamos
21.00 "Insir-te margarite” Children Theatre presents Un pedagog de scoala noua, by I. L. Caragiale, representation coordinated by Marga Mihailescu and Sorina Simionescu
22.00 Recital de muzica populara romaneasca, sustinut de solista Eugenia Lapuste Gheban
- "Mihail Kogalniceanu” Memorial Museum, on 11, M. Kogalniceanu Street., Iasi:
19.00-24.00 guided tour of the permanent exhibition which will reveal to the visitors the atmosphere of a 19th century noblemen house, as well as original objects which belonged to Mihail Kogalniceanu and his family.
- Vineyard and Wine Museum, 7, Logofat Tautu Street, . nr. 7, Harlau:
19.00 opening of the temporary naive art exhibition "Memory of the Innocence"; the exhibition presents works of art created by artists from Bacau, Brasov, Bucuresti, Iasi, in which they approach the great episodes in the life of the traditional man, with wine having its well precised role, as seen through the innocence of such artists
- "Al. I. Cuza” Memorial Palace, Ruginoasa:
19.00-24.00 Mysteries of Ruginoasa Castle at Night, guided tour in a fairy landscape, accompanied by the sound of Renaissance music, focusing on the details of the life of personages who once lived in this castle.
