Museums within "Moldova" National Museum Complex
"Moldova" National Museum Complex of Iasi has its headquarters in the building locally known as the Palace of Culture and which nowadays hosts four museums: Moldavia's History Museum, the Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia, the Art Museum, "Stefan Procopiu" Science and Technique Museum, as well as the Cultural Heritage Conservation-Restoration Centre.
At present, the Palace of Culture is subject to a restoration programme funded by the Government of Romania. The restoration will spread over three years. During this period the museums in the Palace of Culture will be closed. The visitors are invited to the other museums of the Complex: "Poni-Cernatescu" Memorial Museum in Iasi, coordinated by "Stefan Procopiu" Science and Technique Museum, "Mihail Kogalniceanu" Memorial Museum and Museum of the Union, in Iasi, as well as "Al. I. Cuza" Memorial Palace in Ruginoasa and the Archaeological Reserve of Cucuteni, under the guidance of the team of Moldavia's History Museum, and the Wine and Vineyard Museum in Harlau, whose activity is coordinated by the team of the Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia.
