Traditional Art International Festival

1st edition of the Traditional Art International Festival, 13-15 June 2008

The Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia within Moldova National Museum Complex of Iasi, in collaboration with the Mayoralty of the City of Iasi, Tourist Information Office,  Direction for Culture, Religious Affairs and National  Cultural Heritage of the County of Iasi organizes within the Cultural Program Iasi-600, the first edition of the Traditional Art International Festival. The event shall take place during the period 13-15 June 2008 on the esplanade in front of the Palace of Culture in Iasi and shall enjoy the participation of the folk artists from various European countries and also  from Africa, Asia etc.

Dedicated to the dialogue between cultures, the event, unique as its kind in Romania, consists in exhibition and sales  of traditional items, demonstrative workshops, the range of items that shall be present includign ceramics, painted eggs, textiles, small  furniture items, jewelry, music instruments, etc.
