Museum Acquisitions 2006-2008
"Moldova" National Museum Complex of Iasi - "Stefan Procopiu" Science and Technique Museum in collaboration with the History Museum of Galati announce the organization of the exhibition entitled "Technical Shots. Museum Acquisitions 2006-2008" that shall be opened in Galati during the period 30 November 2009 - 15 February 2010.
The acquisitions and donations of 2006-2008 sum up to about 1000 items belonging to the Iasi museum specialization fields: sound recording and playback, power supply, photography, telecommunications, cinematography, home appliances, etc. and consist in music automata, Pathe devices, gramophons, clocks, telephones, photo camera and cinematographic devices, radio and TV sets, sewing machines, control systems, engines, lighting, books, documents.
The exhibition "Technical Shots. Museum Acquisitions 2006-2008" displays a group of 100 heritage items recently entered in the collections of "Stefan Procopiu" Science and Technique Museum in a travelling project, designed as a window opened on the cultural memory, with the aim of showing the public willing to learn the results of the museographers' research.
